Reflector orientation selection
The configuration of the reflector should also be appropriately arranged according to the position of the main light on site. In general, it is a common practice to arrange the main light and the reflector on both sides of the shooting axis (the lens axis, or the line between the camera and the subject). But there are exceptions. For example, the main light is the side-reversed and reversed light level irradiated from the left side of the screen, but when the background in the screen is dark on the left and bright on the right, the reflector can be arranged on the left side of the axis.

The configuration angle of the reflector is an important factor that directly affects the facial lines, layers and intuitive effects of the subject. It is generally known that the highlights will form heavier shadows on the face, and the intuitive effect of these shadows is that the characters appear thin; then the shadows produced by the low light positions are not very heavy, and the characters appear slightly plump. But these are just routines, because the lines of each character's face are different. There are faces with round lines but still relatively angular; there are also thin faces with full lines. For example, the MM of the oval face will not be too ugly, regardless of the high light level or the low light level.
At the same time, it is not enough to choose the position of the reflector alone. What is more important is the choice of camera position or the angle of the subject. This is not the scope of this post, so I won't say more.

It can also be said that the brightness of the reflector hitting the subject. Maybe some friends will ask, the reflector is so bright when it is hit, and the output power cannot be adjusted. The reflection of the reflector is bright in the center area, darker as it goes to the edge, and it is relatively uniform. Friends who have a reflector in their hands can clearly experience the effect by aligning the reflector at an object on a sunny day. However, this area of ​​decreasing luminance is much smaller than the central equal luminance area. (The reflector that is too small may not be easy to see, because the central bright area itself is not large, and the area of ​​decreasing brightness of the reflector is also relatively small, so the area of ​​the small reflector is even smaller)
