How to use the reflector

If sunlight is used as the main light source, reflectors are essential. When using the sun as a background light source, you must use a soft reflector or the "soft" surface of a hard reflector. This can prevent them from showing an excessively strong point light source feeling under the sun. Arrange the actors in a position under the sun so that the sun's rays shine from their position at 10:30. Place the reflector at an angle at 4:30 in front of the actors. The height should be high enough to reflect sunlight into their eyes and not strong enough to make them feel dizzy. If you need a softer white light, use a white soft reflector. If you need a little flash, use a silver reflector. If you want to add a certain warm tone to the actor's face or body, use a golden diffuse reflector. To make all the above effects softer, you can use the following combinations of reflectors, white/gold, white/silver, silver/black, and silver/gold.

Reflector
When a surface has a color, the reason is that it reflects the color into the human eye. Understanding the characteristics of color allows you to create the effects you want more effectively in the scene creation process. Using this concept, you can use blue reflectors to make actors look colder, or use red reflectors to make them look enthusiastic.
If you need to use sunlight but the actor needs to be in shadow due to the scene or background, you don’t need to lift out a huge HMI lamp or pull out a 500-foot-long powerful cable. Use a silver or gold hard reflector to reflect the light to the scene. You can achieve the desired effect. In general, hard reflectors should not be used as the main light source or scene light source.
